Staff Favourites of 2025

I really liked the audiobook for this one with the different narrators for each character! – Jenn

No surprise that this made my fav of 2025 list! This book has a very conversational flow as Ozzy tells the story of his adult life as a rock star, his very poor health in the later years and the love of his life, Sharon Osbourne. A great read! – Janet

A standalone fantasy with a older, practical and sturdy protagonist who is an expert on poisons, and is called into the King's service to solve a mystery illness of the princess.  A little creepy but low stakes for all of you thrill seekers! – Summer

Normally, I'm happy if I can read two books a month. I binged this entire 7 book series in under a month. – Simon

Collection of women from diverse backgrounds who create a supportive community. Multiple points of view, including the boarding house they live in. Takes place in McCarthy-era USA and is well researched. – Laura

Tauhou is a speculative exploration of the connections between the indigenous peoples of Aotearoa and the coasts of North America. – Elise

The incredible character development caused absolute gut wrenching heartbreak while navigating important themes like feminism, family, and living life as your true authentic self.  I LOVED this book and could not put it down. – Amy

One of the most memorable main characters I can remember! I especially enjoyed the e-audio version. – Karen

I love all her writing and this was a delightful fantasy novella. Very clever plotting. – Jade

It was the first book I read this year and I still think of it often. – Sage
