Red Deer Electoral Riding
Following the 2022-2023 Federal Electoral Districts Redistribution, opens a new window process, Red Deer now falls within a single federal electoral riding (as opposed to the previous distribution, which had the city of Red Deer split into two separate ridings, Red Deer-Lacombe and Red Deer-Mountain View).

Voting Information
Can I vote in the election?
To vote in the 2025 Federal Election, you must:
- be a Canadian citizen,
- be at least 18 years old on election day, and
- prove your identity and address, opens a new window.
Be sure to check if you are registered to vote and update your address, if needed.
Where do I vote?
There are many different ways to vote! Make a plan and choose the voting option that works best for you:
Vote on Election Day. Vote at your assigned polling station, opens a new window on Election Day, Monday, April 28. Polls in Red Deer will be open from 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Vote on advance polling days. Vote at your assigned polling station, opens a new window from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on:
- Friday, April 18
- Saturday, April 19
- Sunday, April 20, or
- Monday, April 21
Vote early at any Elections Canada office. You can vote using the special ballot, opens a new window process at any Elections Canada office before April 22 at 6 p.m. Offices are open 7 days a week (Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday: noon to 4 p.m.). Vote by mail. Apply online or at any Elections Canada office, opens a new window to vote by mail using the special ballot process, opens a new window. You must apply by Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m.
