Register Online for a Temporary Digital Membership!

Try out our online library with a temporary 30-day digital membership! Then stop by the library to upgrade to a full membership for FREE!

City of Red Deer residents can sign up online for a temporary digital library card to access RDPL's digital resources (including ebooks). This temporary membership lasts for 30 days after registration. For a full permanent card, stop by the Downtown, opens a new window, Dawe, opens a new window, or Timberlands Branch (with ID showing your current Red Deer address) to validate your account.

After you submit this form, we will email you a card number and pin/password as soon as possible. Please note that this is a manual process that is done during the library's normal operating hours, so your account will NOT be instantly available.

Temporary digital memberships will be issued to adults (ages 18+) only, but cards can be used to access children's digital items too! 

Temporary digital library cards CANNOT be renewed online. Please visit us in person to receive your full (free!) membership.
