Tyrrell in the Library
RDPL is hosting a pop-up fossil exhibit for an entire year!

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology is celebrating its 40th anniversary in style!
The Museum is partnering with ten libraries in Alberta to display curated exhibits of fossils throughout Alberta. The exhibits offer an exciting opportunity for communities to engage with the wonders of palaeontology.
Red Deer Public Library is thrilled to host one of these pop-up exhibits! Red Deer's exhibit will be installed by the Museum in the Downtown Branch in September and will remain in situ to September 2026. Come to the Exhibit Reveal, opens a new window on Saturday, September 26 and see what fossils from the Red Deer area were shared with us!
Throughout the year that we are hosting this exhibit, you can expect to see TONS of dinosaur and palaeontology-themed programs, events, activities, and resources for all ages, so scroll down and check back regularly to see what's new and upcoming!Â
We could not be more excited about this unique partnership opportunity, and we hope you are too!
