Read or Reread Book Club: Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice

We are celebrating Jane Austen all of 2025 leading up to the 250th anniversary of her birth on December 16th, 2025! How better to celebrate than by reading (or re-reading) all her finished novels! We are starting January with arguably the most well-know of her works -- Pride and Prejudice.

Pride & Prejudice has given the world both Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy. Their story is one of the original rivals to lovers. Jane Austen's books are more than romance (though I obviously love that part), they are commentaries of the social expectations of the time. A lot of what readers of today note is "How can they not just talk to one another??? Why is there this miscommunication??" Reader, I totally get it. But also...don't question the unifying principles of the book. There is a reason that all these years later we not only read or re-read her works we watch adaptations en masse. Below you will find links to not only her title, but adaptations and retellings I think you'll enjoy!
