Community Access Guide Change Request

The Red Deer Community Access Guide brings together essential information from social service providers and community organizations in our city, helping individuals in Red Deer find the supports they need. Updated monthly, the Guide features a wide range of programs and services, including meal services and food hampers, shelters and housing, legal assistance, healthcare, non-profit resources, employment assistance, and more.

Community members can pick up a print version of the Guide at the library or download a PDF version or browse the online listings on our website at at rdpl.org/community-resources.

We invite any local agencies, social service providers, or community organizations to submit changes, corrections, or additions to the Guide (both the print and web versions) using this form. Please note that the Guide is updated monthly, so any changes made will not take effect immediately.

Selection & Inclusion Criteria for the Red Deer Community Access Guide

The Red Deer Community Access Guide is a publicly-accessible listing of free and/or low-cost supports. To be included in the Guide, organizations or agencies must offer services that:

  • are FREE or scaled to low/no income.
  • are directly supportive to community members (ex. assistance with food, shelters, housing, and other basic needs; health resources; legal and financial assistance; etc.).
  • are available to Red Deer residents.
  • do not require an external referral to receive services.

Library staff reserve the right to make the final judgment call regarding all submissions, and may revise text to ensure clarity and brevity. Please include your contact information so that we can reach out for clarification, if needed.

Please note that space in the Print (PDF) version of the Community Access Guide is very limited, so we may not be able to accommodate all submission requests for the print version; additions to the online listing are much easier to accommodate.
